Evince Group engaged Young Consultants (YC) to conduct a comprehensive feasibility study to assess the viability and sustainability of establishing a ceramic tableware manufacturing industry in Sylhet, Bangladesh. The assignment aimed to evaluate the proposed project from financial, economic, marketing, technical, socioeconomic, and environmental perspectives, providing the client with a sound analytical basis for investment decision-making. The study examined the project’s management capacity, production technology, machinery and equipment requirements, raw material and workforce availability, site suitability, market potential, operational performance, and financial sustainability.
The technical assessment focused on evaluating the competence and experience of the core management team and key technical personnel, as well as the suitability of the proposed manufacturing processes, machinery, and equipment. YC examined the availability of essential raw materials and skilled labour required to support production and assessed the technical soundness of the proposed manufacturing arrangements. The study also evaluated the suitability of the proposed project location, including its connectivity to transport infrastructure and the availability of essential utilities required for efficient and reliable industrial operations.
The market and commercial assessment examined the demand and supply dynamics of the ceramic tableware sector, relevant industry trends, and the competitive environment. YC assessed market prospects through industry and sector analysis, competitor assessment, supply and value chain analysis, and the development of an appropriate marketing strategy. These activities supported an understanding of the proposed enterprise’s potential market position, commercial opportunities, and key considerations for accessing target markets and competing effectively within the sector.
The financial and economic assessment evaluated the proposed project’s investment requirements, operating performance, and overall financial viability. YC examined project costs, the proposed debt-to-equity structure, and loan repayment schedules, alongside relevant financial indicators. The analysis included financial ratio assessment, break-even analysis, return on investment (ROI), and debt service coverage ratio (DSCR) to evaluate the project’s potential profitability, operational sustainability, and capacity to meet its financial obligations. The broader feasibility assessment also considered socioeconomic and environmental aspects relevant to the proposed manufacturing operation.
The assignment culminated in the preparation of a detailed feasibility study report integrating the technical, managerial, market, financial, economic, socioeconomic, and environmental findings. The report provided Evince Group with a structured assessment of the key requirements, commercial prospects, investment considerations, and potential risks associated with establishing a ceramic tableware manufacturing industry in Sylhet, supporting informed decisions regarding the proposed investment.
