The purpose of the project was to develop a business plan for RDRS and a feasibility study on REPL. The detailed work included:

• Identification and collection of lists of all income generating assets and ventures;
• Evaluating the past performance of RDRS assets including REPL;
• Evaluating the production and marketing strategies taken in the past;
• Assessing the capacity and experience of key employees managing and administering the income-generating assets and ventures;
• Finding out the reasons and constraints, if any, regarding the financial performance of all income-generating assets and ventures;
• Assessing and evaluating the capacity, experience and strength of the present employees dealing with all income-generating assets and ventures;
• Evaluating whether the present business and marketing techniques and strategies were appropriate, feasible and result-oriented in respect of all income-generating assets and ventures;
• Overall evaluation of the commercial ventures in terms of manpower, physical and financial resources, business locations, suppliers, customers, competitors, etc.
• Formulating an opinion for the management on whether the operations of the Enterprise should be continued i.e. whether it is possible for the
  commercial ventures including REPL to be profitable under the present circumstances and situation.
• Formulating recommendations as to what initiative the management should take to maximize income and minimize expenses of all income- generating assets and ventures;
• Along with the recommendations, presenting five years’ projection of the financial performance of all income-generating assets and ventures of RDRD Bangladesh.
