Information Dissemination and Promotion of the Small Projects Facility (SPF) Programme

Young Consultants (YC) was engaged by the Delegation of the European Commission to Bangladesh to implement information dissemination and promotional activities for the Small Projects Facility (SPF) Programme. The programme provided approximately €3 million in trade-related capacity-building grants to local research institutes, media organizations, training institutions, trade and business associations, chambers of commerce, and universities to undertake research in four identified areas.

Over an 18-month period, YC developed a detailed implementation plan, identified prospective institutional participants, and distributed invitations to organizations across Bangladesh. The firm organized information sessions and workshops in Dhaka and Chittagong, including one session attended by more than 550 participants, to raise awareness of the programme and encourage participation.

YC managed the programme’s branding and promotional materials, including the design of its logo, brochures in English and Bengali, project folders, handbooks, letterheads, notebooks, banners, festoons, and promotional souvenirs. The firm also developed multimedia presentations and prepared application packages in both English and Bengali to facilitate access to programme information.

To strengthen outreach and public engagement, YC arranged coverage through print and electronic media and designed, developed, hosted, and maintained the project website for 18 months, including a frequently asked questions (FAQ) section. The firm also provided audiovisual equipment, event logistics, professional facilitators, meeting assistants, rapporteurs, and photographic, audio, and video documentation for information sessions and workshops.

Throughout the assignment, YC monitored and documented programme activities and prepared quarterly, midterm, and final completion reports. These services supported broad dissemination of programme information and helped prospective institutions understand the SPF Programme’s objectives and application procedures.
