The aim of the project was to identify if, why, and how Agriculture-Nutrition value chain could and should be applied to improve the nutrient concentration in rice products and thus improve the ability for agricultural practices to contribute to better nutrition. The objective was to assess the market- and business feasibility of nutritious rice value chain, and recommend suitable, context-specific, relevant nutritious rice interventions that were going to have potentiality to create an impact at scale. The findings of the study were also going to provide a strategic direction to the development of a replicable business model that could align incentives for private sector engagement in better nutrition practices.
