• To release pressure on the overpopulated central Dhaka city by creating a
satellite town.
• To create the cheapest housing facilities for city dwellers.
• To create an environment-friendly and non-polluted residential atmosphere.
• To create a residential area out of the complexity of the city not easily
accessible to the city.
• To create a residential area within the affordable limit of low- and middle-income
generating people.
• To earn a reasonable rate of return for the shareholders of the company
• To create direct and indirect employment in the market (This sector collectively
has created about 1 million jobs so far.)
• To contribute to the national economy of Bangladesh. The share of the real
estate sector currently is 14-16% of the GDP
• To contribute to governmental revenues through registration fees, VAT, utility
connection fees, etc.
• To contribute to the development of other forward- and backward linkage
sectors, such as production sectors (cement, steel, bricks, ceramics, wood,
paints, aluminum, etc.)
