Young Consultant has over two decades of extensive experience in the agricultural sector, collaborating with organizations such as World Bank Group, IFC, ADB, GAIN, JICA, ICDOL, IFC-SEDP, and SME Foundation (SMEF) among others on projects focused on agriculture, nutrition, value chain development, and SME financing among others. We specialize in agribusiness development, food security, supply chain optimization, and rural economic growth, providing strategic insights and technical assistance to strengthen agricultural systems.
Our firm has played pivotal role in agricultural financing projects working with Bangladesh bank, Micro-credit Regulatory Authority, the Bureau of NGO Affairs and the Department of Agriculture. Among some of our highlights is the Agricultural Nutritional Value Chain project for GAIN that we worked on which focused on enhancing food quality, nutrition accessibility, devising interventions for potentially creating impact at scale and suggesting sustainable agricultural practices. This initiative aimed to bridge the gap between farmers, processors, and markets, ensuring increased productivity and better livelihoods for agricultural stakeholders.
In another project Young Consultant was tasked to identify gaps in technical and institutional capacity that exists to support index-based insurance capacity for IFC-SDEP. Additionally in another project for SMEF, the firm has worked extensively in SME agribusiness financing, facilitating access to credit for smallholder farmers and Agri based entrepreneurs. These projects focus on financial literacy, grant management, and business development support to help agricultural enterprises scale sustainably. Similarly, Young Consultants has conducted data collection surveys for JICA on Argo-based NGOs and developed impact evaluation and mid-term reports for the client.
Subsequently, our firm has engaged in policy advisory, market research, and investment climate improvement for the agricultural sector, enabling stakeholders to adapt to evolving market dynamics and regulatory requirements. In addition, YC has evaluated and inspected renewable energy applications in agriculture, including solar irrigation pumping systems under the Productive Use of Renewable Energy Project (PUREP), funded by KfW. Through our strategic partnerships, data-driven insights, and hands-on implementation, we have helped enhance agricultural value chains, promote sustainable farming practices, and improve rural livelihoods, contributing to long-term sectoral growth and food security.
